What Is Ecstatic dance?

Dance Your Way Back to Yourself
Move freely. Feel restored.

There is a kind of movement that rises up from somewhere deep, primal, and honest.

Return to your body's natural rhythm. To move from within without needing to match anyone else's pace or expression.

We weave in optional somatic tools (what I call the "10 S’s”) to support nervous system regulation and help you stay connected to sensation as you move.

And we close with a 15-minute sound bath, drawing on mantra and high-frequency sound to support integration, grounding, and restoration.

Whether you have danced your whole life or haven't moved freely in years, this space was made for you. Your body knows what it needs. This is simply an invitation to listen.

Once a month on Fridays at Stepping Stone Studio in Wellesley, MA

Why Movement Heals

Healing through movement is not about choreography—it’s about freedom.
When we allow the body to move intuitively, it speaks. It softens. It remembers how to heal.

Ecstatic Dance supports:

  • Nervous system regulation
  • Emotional healing through somatic release
  • Deeper embodiment of the present moment
  • Spiritual embodiment and inner alignment

This is a journey of awakening through the body—one that honors the breath as a bridge, and silence as the source of all sound.

The Role of Music & Breath

In Ecstatic Dance, music and breath are vital companions.
Breath becomes the anchor, guiding you inward and helping energy move freely through your body. It keeps you attuned to the life force that flows through all things.

Between each sound, silence pulses. Within every movement, breath whispers. This is the rhythm of embodiment.
